SIMMONS FAMILY Welcome to our family's blog! I will try my best to update the blog on a regular basis, with happenings, pictures and anything that is new and exciting
Well the weekend hunt turned out to be pretty eventful for Chad. He got his pig. He is excited. Heart racing, adrenaline pumping, I am man hear me roar.
Well when I say alone I mean w/o the hubby! He is hunting for the 3rd weekend in a row! Next weekend is the last weekend so then life will be back to normal! At least the girls have been having friends over and going to friends last weekend and this weekend so they are not driving me totally crazy!!
The girls school decided that they were not going to have a Valentines day parties in the classrooms due to cost that some families can't afford! I am torn OK I see how it can be a little costly, but really you can get a box of cards for 2.00 and the kids love those parties!!
Softball is getting ready to start for Madison-practice will start at the end of Feb! She will be moving up to Majors this year, I am a little nervous she doesn't seem to be to nervous at all. They play rough at that level! I am trying to get Abbi to play but she doesn't seem to interested...I have to find something for that kid to do and I don't want it to be dance which is way to much money!
So I decided that my family is growing before my eyes-not in numbers but in sizes and ages. I am horrible about keeping up with emails, phone calls and pictures. What a better way to communciate with family afar or even close then to blog about it....so off we go.
We can't say much more about this man-except that he is a great father and a wonderful husband. He may look tuff with all those tatoos and hairy face and sometimes he can be crabby and a little bit grumpy (as the nieces and nephews like to call him Uncle Grumpy) he is still our hero!! He can fix anything, build anything and make us laugh until we almost pee.
Oldest, wise beyond years!
Madison
Madison is 11 1/2 (the half is very important). She is a great kid. She is like an old soul in a young body! She is in 6th grade and getting ready to start her 3rd season of softball, she is a first baseman. She has truly found something she enjoys. Madison also like to bow hunt with her Daddy, she is working to be able to pull enough weight on the bow so that she can hunt deer and javelena with her dad. She is a pretty good student up until this year she brought home all A's and B's. 6th grade is proving to be a little challenging but she is up to it.
Youngest and toughest
Abbi
Abbi is our youngest- she will be 6 next month (Feb). Abbi is fun spirited, cute as a button but has proven to be quite the challenge. She started Kindergarten this year and finally 5 months into it she doesn't cry anymore. She knows what she wants and being the baby in the entire family she knows how to get it. She is very set in her ways even at the young age of 5. She is the ham of our family (along with Chad). She loves to be the center of attention- I know that we are in for a ride with this one.
